Jean Giono
The French countryside Giono recounts is lyrical, sensual, full of rich-nature and rich-natured people. The feel of his work has a texture that is so subtle, so when I run my fingers over the memory his books have left me I touch the loamy soil of Provence in spring.
Joy of Man’s Desiring
I recommended this book to my dad, who was not so thrilled on his way through, with its happy airs. He then changed his mind once arrived at the ending. I enjoyed this book for Giono’s descriptions of feasting and nature.
Blue Boy
Is the story of a dreamy childhood.
